Couples Intensives

I offer couples intensives, which are intensive sessions that last from a few hours to a few days, depending on the needs and goals of each couple. These sessions are designed to help couples work through difficult issues in a compressed amount of time, using evidence-based techniques and strategies. I am passionate about helping couples improve their relationship and achieve lasting happiness.

Most couples choose to do an intensive instead of weekly sessions due to difficulty attending weekly sessions, needing to find child care during session time, work constraints, etc..An intensive offers the opportunity to cover a lot of ground during a scheduled day off from work, while the kids are in school or on a weekend that offers the least amount of disruption to your lives.

Couples intensives are not covered by insurance. Intensive sessions span 4 hours over the course of one day.

Marital vows
A couple communicating

I offer various types of relationship counseling. Whether you are single, dating, engaged, married, or divorced, I can help you navigate the complexities and challenges of your relationship. I offer pre-marital counseling for couples who are planning to get married and want to strengthen their foundation. For married couples, I provide marriage counseling to help them enhance their communication, intimacy, and satisfaction, or to assist them in making difficult decisions. I also offer divorce counseling for those who are going through a divorce or who need help finding closure after the end of their marriage. I am committed to helping you achieve your relationship goals and find happiness and harmony in your life.

what if your partner doesn't want to come with you?

There are times and situations when only one person is able or willing to attend couples counseling. Even if your partner initially agrees to attend counseling they may back out when appointment time comes around. When that happens all hope is not lost. You can still attend counseling to address relationship issues from your perspective and to gain valuable insights. Additional reasons to attend alone:

  • To understand how your past experiences and beliefs affect your current relationship.
  • To improve self-esteem, assertiveness and learn how to set healthy boundaries.
  • To heal from past trauma and abuse that could be interfering with the ability to form healthy bonds.
  • To find support during challenging times over the course of the relationship.

A happy couple feeling connected
